Robert Woolf
Digital Media Consultant

With a background at top digital agency Euro RSCG Circle and telecoms giant Orange, Robert set up SEA in 2003 to pit his wits against greater challenges and express his talent. In that time, Robert has focused on delivering great work for his clients and sustaining excellent working relationships along the way.

Robert believes his success in developing SEA into a respected digital media consultancy based in Cornwall (no easy feat!) is down to working hard for clients, treating people equally, finding out the facts and being a good listener. These skills, above previous credentials, make a good strategist!

And SEA has worked for some great clients since forming in 2003, here's just a few of them - Zurich Financial Services, Bradford & BIngley, Co-operative Bank, Parkinson’s Disease Society, John Lewis, HFC Bank, Help The Aged, Stroud District Council, Bristol City Council - as well as many smaller equally ambitious businesses.

So what floats Robert's boat? Well, enabling people to make the most out of digital media technology is one. Being sustainable another. Being creative and original a third. But probably the biggest influence on SEA's brand is the desire to empower people through digital media. Not in a Martin Luther King type of way, just in a quiet unassuming way whereby staff, customers and clients benefit from the work we have done.


 

Kathryn Woolf
Design and Marketing Consultant

Before co-founding SEA Kathryn was an Account Manager for global digital agency Euro RSCG Circle and Bristol based new media agency Owtanet Ltd.

She has worked with brands such as Orange, Screwfix, Fullers Smith and Turner and Zurich Financial Services. More recently, she has been working within the South West tourism sector developing brand strategies and communication campaigns for councils, community enterprises and visitor attractions including Gloucestershire County Council, Stroud District Council, Geevor Tin Mine and Thistledown Environmental Centre.

Kathryn and Robert gel really well together (despite being man and wife!) and they love tackling projects together but from their own unique perspectives. In 2004, they worked together on Zurich Rugby Club (Zurich's sponsorship of the Rugby Premiership) and in just six weeks managed to achieve what a top London agency hadn't achieved in 18 months. This success, and many others since, came from Robert and Kathryn getting under the skin of the issues and brainstorming strategic and creative ways to overcome them.

Despite this, Kathryn's first love is using design and marketing for community regeneration. She excels in community environments, people trust her and value her commitment. They also admire her attention to detail, her creativity and marketing know how.

 
 


What we do

Fundamentally, what we do is very simple: we enable people, businesses and communities to improve their communications and productivity through digital media and marketing.

  • Help businesses communicate more effectively with their customers and staff by engaging in the co-creation of strategies and product development.
  • Partner with highly talented individuals and business to co-deliver creative digital projects that are successful in achieving the desired outcomes.
  • Remove social and economic exclusion through digital inclusion – in the shape of workshops, individual mentoring, and a bridging of business and community interests.
  • Empower people to improve their quality of life and opportunities by founding a hub for digital media exploration, incubation, participation, mentoring, design and research.
